Twelfth Night Virtual Concert to Benefit Blue Ridge Area Food Bank

12th Night Updated Benefit Poster

Since 2007, the combined Chancel Choirs of Staunton Church of the Brethren and Olivet Presbyterian Church have performed a Lessons and Carols concert.  This Twelfth Night concert has been held to benefit the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank. Last year’s event netted over $10,000 for BRAFB, translating to over 40,000 meals for those in need.  Unfortunately, our annual live performance is a casualty of the current COVID pandemic. Considering the expanded need the pandemic has created through its significant economic impact, concert organizers have decided to conduct a virtual event.  A tape featuring the best numbers from past concerts has been created and will be broadcast on local radio stations as described in the attached flyer.  In this fashion we hope to continue the tradition of calling attention to the needs of BRAFB particularly during these difficult times.
