At Barren Ridge Church, our mission is to grow in faith, serve our neighbors, and worship together in the spirit of love and grace. Sunday Worship & Fellowship
Sunday mornings are the heart of our life together as a church. Each week, we gather to learn, pray, sing, and grow in faith. Sunday School begins at 10:00 AM for all ages, offering engaging classes that explore Scripture and encourage conversation. Worship services follow at 8:45 AM and 11:00 AM, led by Pastors Henry and Janet Elsea, whose messages are rooted in the Word and relevant to our daily lives.
If you’re unable to attend in person, don’t worry—we livestream the 11:00 AM service each week on our Facebook page, so you can join us from wherever you are.
Vacation Bible School: June 22–27
One of our most joyful weeks of the year is just around the corner! Vacation Bible School (VBS) is happening June 22–27 from 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM each evening. This fun, faith-filled program is open to children from Pre-K through 5th grade, and we’re also offering sessions for adults—because growing in faith doesn’t stop with childhood. For families with younger children, nursery care will be available.
The week wraps up with a special celebration on Friday evening, featuring a children’s musical performance followed by a picnic and s’mores. It’s a beautiful evening of fellowship, laughter, and seeing the fruits of God’s work in the lives of our young people. Registration is open now online or via the sign-up sheet located outside the church office. Don’t miss it!
The Living Bible Event
We’re also thrilled to announce the upcoming return of our Living Bible Event, a powerful, immersive experience that brings the stories of the Bible to life. From dramatic reenactments of miraculous healings to scenes of hope, courage, and faith, this event invites attendees of all ages to encounter Scripture in a fresh and unforgettable way.
